When I was a kid, my cousins and I would spend hours playing behind my grandpas house. I remember watching my older cousins as they would disappear in the woods. They never allowed the younger cousins to follow, and would tell us stories of the Cowman and vicious dogs to scare us out of trying. And it worked. I remember being too afraid to follow them into the trees, because I had no idea what was out there.
Last year, I started a new tradition. The first couple weeks of the new year, I like to unplug and use the time to refocus. This year I read the book, "Not A Fan," by Kyle Idleman. I have only good things to say about this book... well, mostly. This book is amazing, eye opening, and so true. But, Idleman doesn't sugarcoat, water down, or gloss over anything. When I said I mostly had good things to say, I was extremely convicted while reading this book.
